Conditions of participation
The "Pigeon Friends" campaign is organized by the German Animal Welfare Federation (Deutscher Tierschutzbund e.V.), In der Raste 10, 53129 Bonn, Phone +49 (0) 228 604960, e-mail: onlineredaktion(at)tierschutzbund.de.
The campaign starts on 18.09.2019.
By participating in the "Pigeon Friends" campaign, the participant accepts the following online conditions of participation.
§ 1 Procedure
1) As part of its #RespektTaube campaign for a better image of urban pigeons, the German Animal Welfare Federation is organizing a campaign in which it calls on participants to upload their experiences with pigeons and pigeon photos to the German Animal Welfare Federation website.
2. the German Animal Welfare Federation will select the best pictures and stories from all the entries. These will be published on our websites and social media channels: www.tierschutzbund.de andwww.duunddastier.de,www.facebook.com/tierschutzbund,www.instagram.com/tierschutzbund and on www.twitter.com/tierschutz_bund. The photos/stories will also be used for our print publications and will be made available to journalists and animal welfare organizations upon request.
3. all participants who send in or upload a story and/or picture in accordance with the conditions of participation will take part in the "Pigeon Friends" campaign.
4. the German Animal Welfare Federation reserves the right to exclude entries from participation and to delete them if they fail to fulfill the task.
5. participation is free of charge. By participating in the campaign, the participant expressly accepts these conditions of participation.
§ 2 Copyright
1. the most beautiful photos/stories will be selected from the photos/stories uploaded via the website www.tierschutzbund.de/aktion-taubenfreunde .
2. with the declaration of participation for uploading photos/stories, the participant assures that he/she has all rights to the submitted photos/stories and their content motifs that entitle him/her to publish the photos/stories, furthermore that the uploaded photos/stories are free of third-party rights, that no personal rights are violated in the depiction or representation of persons and that the uploaded picture/story originates solely from him/her personally.
3. the name of the person who sent the photo is given as the copyright, unless another copyright is explicitly stated. Stories are published under the sender's first name.
§ 3 Rights of use of the photos/stories
1. by uploading photos/stories, the participant agrees that his/her photo/story may be permanently stored by the German Animal Welfare Federation and used and published by it for an unlimited period of time, without restriction and free of charge. This includes publication on our websites and social media channels(www.tierschutzbund.de,www.duunddastier.de,www.facebook.com/tierschutzbund,www.instagram.com/tierschutzbund,www.twitter.com/tierschutz_bund), in our print publications such as flyers, brochures, member magazines and mailings and the publication of the photos/stories to journalists and animal welfare organizations on request as part of our press and public relations work.
§ 4 Data protection
1. the data protection regulations are complied with. The reason for the processing is the implementation of the campaign described above in § 1.
2. personal data will only be used for internal purposes of the German Animal Welfare Federation and will not be passed on to third parties.
3. our data protection regulations also apply.
4. photos on which one or more persons are recognizably depicted will not be accepted. In this way, the German Animal Welfare Federation protects the personal rights of any persons who may be depicted. Photos with people will therefore not be included in the selection of the best photos and will not be published on the websites.
§ 4 Rights of third parties
1. the contributions of participants in the "Pigeon Friends" campaign must not contain any insults, false facts, trademark, copyright or competition law infringements. By participating in the campaign, each participant undertakes to be personally responsible for any infringements of the law.
2. should third parties nevertheless assert claims for infringement of their rights, the participant shall indemnify the German Animal Welfare Federation against all claims.
3. by uploading photos/stories, the participant agrees to the publication of the respective photos/stories on www.tierschutzbund.de,www.duunddastier.de and on the Facebook, Instagram and Twitter page of the German Animal Welfare Federation.
§ 5 Facebook disclaimer
1. this campaign is in no way connected to Facebook and is in no way sponsored, supported or organized by Facebook.
2. the recipient of the information provided is not Facebook, but the Deutscher Tierschutzbund e.V.
3. any questions, comments or complaints about the campaign should not be directed to Facebook, but to the operator of the campaign, the German Animal Welfare Association (Deutscher Tierschutzbund e.V.)

§ 6 Instagram disclaimer
1. this campaign is in no way connected to Instagram and is in no way sponsored, supported or organized by Instagram.
2. the recipient of the information provided is not Instagram, but the German Animal Welfare Federation.
3. any questions, comments or complaints about the promotion should not be directed to Instagram, but to the operator of the prize draw, the German Animal Welfare Federation
