Rest-Cent-Donation & Matching Gift

REST-CENT-DONATION:TURN YOUR EMPLOYEES INTO HEROES!

The principle of the spare cents donation is very simple: as a rule, there are no even amounts on the payslip. However, very few people pay attention to the decimal places on their monthly payslip.

This is where the spare cents donation principle comes in: Every employee who wants to take part in the campaign forgoes the cents (or a self-defined amount) of their net salary each month and donates this portion to a good cause. Each individual decides for themselves whether, with what amount and over what period of time they would like to participate. For each participant, it is only a small contribution per month, but together and over the year, it can add up to a large sum that can be used effectively for animal welfare projects and the fight against animal suffering!

Matching Gift

The campaign will be even more effective if you as a company increase the amount donated by your employees, for example by doubling it. This promotes acceptance among the workforce and willingness to participate.

All in all, the spare cents donation is an exemplary campaign that allows companies to assume social responsibility together with their employees and make a big difference with many small contributions.

Set an example as a company, promote team spirit and make the world a better place. This also impresses customers and business partners.

YOUR WAY TO THE REST-CENT-DONATION

  1. Arouse enthusiasm and interest for joint commitment in management and staff (the impetus for the spare cents donation can come from both the employer and the employees)
  2. Fundamental decision by management and works council
  3. Involvement of the workforce: information on the possibilities and processing of the leftover cents donation in the company
  4. Obtain declaration of consent from employees
  5. Consideration in payroll accounting (some HR programs already include a leftover cents solution as standard, such as the SAP payroll component for Germany from SAP ERP HCM 6.0 or higher)
  6. Regular (e.g. semi-annual or annual) transfer of the residual cent amounts to the German Animal Welfare Federation.
